As you probably have gathered by now I seem to pick up my fair share of beauty items to trial and test, so inevitably and much to my disappointment, a few items end up not living up to my expectations. So, I thought in this post I would let you know of a few products I did not seem to get along with and why...
Disclaimer: All opinions are my own and I love each brand I have mentioned, I just simply personally did not get on with the particular products below. Remember: everyone varies in what they like, so don't let me stop you purchasing something and trying it yourself.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
I was actually truly excited to try out this micellar water as a load of people have claimed how good it was. Unfortunately, I was left utterly disappointed, I found it a bit tedious to take off my makeup with as the process took a much longer time than using my trusted Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish AND it left my skin looking dull and in desperate need of hydration. However, I will say that if you're thinking of trying it out, go ahead. SO many people have loved it. I wouldn't base your opinion of it solely on my negative review. (P.S I have combination skin if you were wondering)
Bourjois Rouge Edition Auqua Laque (07)
Right, so I understand this is meant to be a watery formula but it was so runny that it was impossible to apply - especially with it being such a bold colour that you have to get looking quite precise on the lips to avoid looking like a clown. The glossy liquid-ness of this lipstick also meant it was smudging all around my mouth and within half an hour of wearing it looked reminiscent of if I had put on a bright red lipstick, wiped off that lipstick, and was left with a reddish stain on my lips. It just looked messy and was not worth the hassle.
Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation
Now, this is another product I was eager to try as I love the Rimmel Wake Me Up and Rimmel Match Pefection Foundation, however, this foundation made my skin the worst I've ever seen it. I'm talking spots on spots on spots, breakouts EVERYWHERE! Not good. However, apart from the major spots issue, this foundation did give amazing coverage, so maybe give it a try if you don't have spot prone skin.
Co Lab Dry Shampoo
I desperately wanted to like this product, but it just did not seem to get on with my hair. When I tried it out, it left me with a head of grey hair (which is almost impossible to get away with when you're a brunette especially) and when I tried to blend in the dry shampoo it would not budge. Sadly, I have tried this product a number of times and the same thing happened. I also found that instead of it making my hair feel healthy and clean, it made my hair feel a bit like straw. Smells absolutely amazing though - shame!
Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner (Black)
From the moment I tried this product I was disappointed. Immediately the eyeliner came out looking faded and grey, but I love a eyeliner to look super black. It also had poor longevity and ended up smudging around my eyes. I will say though, the style of the eyeliner is in essence an easy to use pen shape, however the fact it felt literally like a dried up felt tip ruined it.
Okay, negative rant over. Cya next time for a more positive post!
Love, Millie

I'd wanted to try the Bourjois product for a while but when I swatched it I really wasn't impressed, totally agree with you that it's disappointing!

I haven't tried the Garnier Micellar water but I have been using Bioderma Micellar water for 2 years now and I love it.
