Applying a lipstick really can make or break a makeup look and I believe choosing the right one an important choice to make - well, to me anyway. So, I thought it would only be right to share my favourite lipsticks to put on, right? Or maybe I secretly just wanted to confess my undying love of these legends of a lipstick. Either way, I hope you enjoy what this post has in store for you...
This lipstick is obviously a cherry shade (which can I say I think looks SO pretty with brown eyes). The consistency of the lipstick is quite creamy therefore pleasant to apply and looks lovely and balmy on the lips giving them a great pop of colour. However, I must warn you that this is not a lipstick you want to be digging in to a meal wearing as it has a tendency to smudge but the colour is so pretty it's worth it.
By far the most expensive lipstick I own and one of my most prized possession - I mean just look at the thing, it's a beaut. This lipstick provides a pinky, brown nude colour which I find to be so flattering. Also, just to add to this being the perfect lipstick, it has amazing staying power, I managed to demolish a burrito wearing this lipstick and it did not budge. It's fair to say I love this lipstick to pieces and just can't help the little spurt of happiness it gives me when I see it sitting in my collection.
I adore this lipstick, it makes me feel so girly and gives off such a cute vibe from the soft, pink, shimmery colour AND it's long lasting. This lipstick is pretty hard to find a fault in.
So, I'd be lying if I said the fact that Miss Jenner has her name attached to this didn't sway me to buy this in the first place, but regardless when I tried it out I found that the lipstick, whether created by Kendall or not, is a must-have. Firstly, I adore the shade, it's a stunning, highly pigmented, bright red with a subtle orange tint to it. I love that it really makes your lips pop. I don't think I could say that there's a better red lipstick for spring and summer than this one. But, the lipstick is very, very matte making it a harder one to apply - get your lipliner at the ready with this one - but the matte finish does mean it has awesome staying power.
I have to say, I love the Kate Moss lipstick collection, but this one from it in particular, I get a lot of use from. This shade is a beautiful nude that I could imagine suiting any skin tone and importantly, it's affordable. The lipstick is of a creamy consistency and provides a subtle, nude pink which I have found to look amazing with a smoky eye. It's one truly loved by me and I often find myself applying it when I'm in a rush as I just know it will be perfect. Simply the ideal nude.
I couldn't end this post without mentioning that my ultimate lipstick HAS to be Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in 'Dragon Girl'. It's super long lasting, easy to apply and the perfect red with a hint of pink that's utterly stunning on the lips. However, I wrote about it in another post so I thought I would leave it out of my top 5 so you can hear about some other lipsticks. But yeah, I had to mention that, it's like my baby.
I would love to know what your favourite lipsticks are in the comments. I'm down to try some suggestions out as if you can't tell by my enthusiasm over the lipsticks above, buying excessive amounts of lipsticks is admittedly my guilty pleasure.
Love, Millie
